It's difficult to say what this site is and why it exists.

I am fascinated by human experience and endlessly curious about what it means to be human and, even more, what is possible for a whatever a human is.

I lean into inclusiveness, not as a value but as a way of being.

It's an attitude toward experience that I call "hospitality."

All experience is welcome.

And now perhaps you're wondering about the title of this site?

Wyrd: an Anglo-Saxon/Old English word that that means, "The force that sets events in motion or predetermines the course of events, fate, destiny. ... A decree of fate, a pronouncement; (b) a prognostication, a prophecy."

(And, by the way, the word, "word," derives from "wyrd/wē̆rd.")

Highly strange: derived from "high strangeness," a phrase in use for the last 50 or so years in conjunction with the set of phenomena referred to as "UFO."
