Curiosity is my constant companion, my guiding source. It wakes me up in the morning and keeps me up at night. In between, it fuels my engines and charges my batteries. I guess you could say it's my energy source.

Often, my curiosity takes me to the wyrd (weird) and highly strange in human experience, often what some people refer to as "spiritual." I've found in my time within a number of religions and spiritual paths that what's usually lurking behind the facade of ritual, practice, belief, custom, is something highly wyrd. Often, it's so wyrd that no one wants to talk about it, much less admit they've had contact with it or are curious about it.

And there are those who know all about wyrd and highly strange phenomena and experiences. They may have an explanation, some way of grounding these within an existing structure--usually religious or scientific.

This is where curiosity comes in. It isn't always easy. Nice, pat answers often feel good initially, but answers don't let things keep opening up. Only questions open things up.

This blog/journal is my way of tracking what I'm asking questions about, the dark and unknown areas, the ones that perhaps I've avoided, the areas I thought I knew but really didn't. That makes for large territory! So put on your wyrd and highly strange cap and let's go for a ride.
